About the Role
The Assistant vice President reports to the Vice President and provides fund administration services to a portfolio of funds, mainly hedge funds.
Primary responsibilities include:
Fund Accounting Work
- responsible for daily processing of transactions for a portfolio of investment funds and the preparation of cash reconciliations
- prepare Net Asset Value (“NAV”) files for a portfolio of medium to high complexity investment funds.
- liaise with investment managers, prime brokers and custodians in relation to trading activity as required for transaction processing and NAV preparation
- prepare client compliance files, maintain the client database and perform general administrative functions related to client funds
- assist in the invoicing process, collection of receivables and will liaise with auditors to provide requested information and respond to queries.
What You Bring
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate should possess the following:
- will be a graduate with an excellent academic background, a professional accounting designation and at least 5 years’ relevant experience in investment fund accounting and offshore administration;
- Good English communication skills and be able to speak Cantonese. Mandarin will be a plus.
- A team player with positive attitude to face clients and offer work-related assistance to clients and colleagues.
- Ability to handle work/client deliverables with tight deadlines.
- Proactive and willing to handle task individually
