Digital Manufacturing Portfolio Development Executive - Aerospace and Defense

Cypress, CA / Remote

As part of the America's Zone Sales organization, aPortfolio Development Executive (PFD) must drive the pipeline creation andsales by targeting accounts the products have a fit.

To achieve success, a Portfolio Development Executive willbe responsible for driving pipeline through new and existing accounts using definedexecution tactics and collaboration with sales and presales. As a trustedpartner with direct and indirect sales teams, this role will be 60% customerfacing. Due to client-base, candidates must currently reside in the continental United States, and relocation from outside the United States is not an option.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to identify business needs, developvalue propositions and contribute to the generation of compelling proposals.
  • Ability to lead discovery with customers toqualify opportunities.
  • Develop and articulate Trends-Implications-Possibilities-Solutions,build compelling presentations to align with customer needs, and deliver anExecutive level thru mid-manager level presentation with ability to run thru demovideos.
  • Documented experience of owning and managingdiscovery phase with clients
  • Leverage Challenger methodology to understand/identifyproblem areas and challenge customer on status quo.
  • Clearly articulate "why Siemens?" innon-technical terms (then if required, at a more technical level)
  • Manage and execute tactics using Account basedresearch, social media, Executive outreach etc.
  • Collaborate with Industry Portfolio Director andeach Country Manager/Sales Leader to drive key business metrics.
  • Complete understanding of campaign/initiativevalue proposition and presentation materials
  • Drive campaign execution with Industry,Marketing and Sales
  • Deliver sales enablement training of collateralas required.
  • Coordinate with PreSales to deliver effective,value focused demonstrations.
  • Manage execution plan and report weekly progress.
  • Support closing process if required.

• Ability to build a strategy and roadmapinteracting with Senior Manufacturing Executives including C-Suite. Execute selling experienceacross the Smart Manufacturing Digital Thread

• ProvenManufacturing software sales experience at Siemens or a competitor

• Provenstrategy development at an account and industry level - understand the productdevelopment and manufacturing challenges in the Aerospace and Defense industry.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have 5 to 10 years of sales or businessdevelopment experience and strong, proven grasp of industry and technology/solutions.
  • Must currently reside in the United States, with strong preference for California.
  • Due to client-base, candidates must currently reside in the continental United States, and relocation from outside the United States is not an option.
  • Carried an individual quota and were personallyresponsible for achieving.
  • Ability to articulate end to end Digitalization messageto the customer and ability to map in Siemens technology to the customerrequirements and vision.
  • Demonstrated capability to be the trustedadvisor for the client within new or existing customers at variousorganizational levels.
  • Practical experience with ManufacturingPlanning, MES, Quality, Scheduling, Plant and Process Simulation andManufacturing Intelligence software in the Aerospace and Defense industries andenvironments. Including connection/integration to Design, PLM, ERP and Shop floortechnologies.
  • Experience working with clients in IoT/IIoT andIndustry 4.0 based solutions.
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies anddeployment on-premise and in the cloud
  • Proven written and presentation developmentskills required, with strong skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint and Tableau
  • An understanding of organizational management iscritical.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task.
  • Experience aligning with mid/upper-levelmanagement and technical users.
  • Collaborate and drive results with diverse teamsacross multiple internal and external organizations.
  • Formal and informal networking across company
  • Approximately 50% travel
  • *BA/BS degree required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Multi solution and multi-industry experience aplus
  • MBA Preferred
  • 6 Sigma Black Belt and LEAN manufacturingexpertise
  • Lead or actively involved in digitaltransformation and large systems implementation (e.g. PLM, MES)

Siemens Software. Transform the Everyday

The totalcash compensation range for this position is $135,700 to $271,400 with 30% (+/- 10%) of thisbeing comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offeredis based on the successful candidate's work location as well as additionalfactors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevanteducation/training.
