Job Title Squad Leader - Asset Management Compliance
The Purpose of This Role
Do you want to be part of a Product Area that helps develop best-in-class Compliance capabilities that support every asset class in an Asset Management? As one of the Investment Compliance Squad Leaders, you blend investment management and technical expertise with a passion for delivering results. As the product owner you are the end-to-end gatekeeper of the squad mission, strategy, and tactical execution associated with delivering on strategic priorities. In an agile structure, you will partner with other Fidelity leaders to influence the broader strategic decisions, roadmaps, and resource requirements, set and refine the mission, and bring together a team of chapter members to execute specific product features. You will ensure alignment on the "what" and "when" work is to be performed through ongoing planning and prioritization of a product backlog. You will enable squad members to work iteratively, innovate through testing and experimentation and learn from failures while celebrating success.

The Value You Deliver
• Defining, refining, and communicating the squad's mission and roadmap to motivate and establish team and partner support and alignment
• Anticipating, discovering through ongoing interaction with, and prioritizing partner needs to serve as their voice and guide the execution of the team
• Defining, evaluating, and communicating results against acceptance criteria
• Inspecting and evaluating progress, and removing impediments
• Measuring performance against established objectives that deliver on agreed upon business, technology, and people results
• Collaborating and coordinating with Product Area Leaders and Scrum Masters to build squad capacity and capability and enabling squad member growth, development, and learning
• Making informed trade-off decisions to strike the right balance between quality, cost, and timelines
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
• Bachelor's degree (or above) in either Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Mathematics or Finance related field; CFA / CFP designation or post-graduate degree in finance or a related field a plus
• 10+ years of experience in end-to-end technology solution delivery, 6 years awareness of Agile delivery environments
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining dynamic products and solutions
• Financial services experience, preferred
• Jira and Jira Align experience preferred
• Experience in Asset Management industry is desirable
• Take a data-focused approach to understanding user and partner needs, translate strategic objectives into action, and prioritize to improve value delivered
• Grasp sophisticated product features and break them into clear and concise stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria and optimally communicate these
• Proven focus on execution and identify, communicate, and remove impediments to progress
• Capable of leading, influencing, and motivating colleagues without formal authority, and have a track record of building high-performing teams
• Establish and maintain unquestioning relationships as you work multi-functionally across Fidelity to deliver business outcomes and seek out the expertise of colleagues to advise on your approach
• Intellectually curious and model a culture of continuous learning, mentoring, and coaching
• Committed to developing a balance of technology and non-technology skills to fully appreciate the broad needs of our customers
• Proven experience with minimum viable product definition and product backlog management
• Adept at detecting scope changes and raising issues
The Team
You work in partnership with the Investment Compliance Product Area Leader, other Squad Leaders, Scrum Masters, and Chapter Leaders aligned to your squad. This is a highly dynamic, collaborative, and cross-functional team that works closely with the Compliance, Risk, and Business Operations partners to deliver capabilities and solutions that support all major Asset Management initiatives and product launches.

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs.
