Key responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for C-Level clinical and logistic relationships at strategic government VA and DoD accounts, with a focus on the One BD message to drive sales across multiple business units
- Ability to work cross-functionally to gain knowledge and experience across multiple product lines and business units, and able to drive sales
- Functions as the 'technical expert' on how to prospect/win/conduct business with government entities at all levels
- Responsible for building and maintaining Government Account Community in a given geography
- Implements sales/marketing plans, strategically developed by leadership, to increase government market share
- Works with sales team to facilitate quoting
- Maintains Salesforce (CRM) information
- Assists the local team in validating funding availability
About you:To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Account management experience, sales or marketing experience preferred. Clinical specialists are also preferred
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills and the ability to meet aggressive deadlines within requested time frames
- Demonstrated Government acquisition process experience is preferred, or the ability to become an expert
- Degree level qualification highly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license with 3 years of consecutive driving history and meet BD's auto safety standards
- Required travel 60%
