Who We're Looking For

Toyota's Indirect Procurement Shared Services (IPSS) Department is looking for a highly motivated and qualified IT Strategic Sourcing Manager.

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead 3 direct reports in the creation and execution of "white glove" strategies and support for IT commodities (software, hardware, and IT services). This role is also responsible for overseeing day to day procurement tasks including purchase requisition management, contract requests and processing, and sourcing events.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of IT Strategic Sourcing, the person in this role will support the Indirect Procurement department's objective to implement procurement strategies to reduce cost and mitigate risk for the business. This role will play a significant role in the development and implementation of cost reduction strategies in support of the Toyota North America synergies/cost efficiency strategy. This role will provide critical Procurement and Sourcing expertise to TMNA in alignment with business strategies and will support global synergy opportunities where applicable.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Building & maintaining strong trusted relationships with senior management stakeholders across TMNA as well as with supplier partners and other internal Toyota stakeholders.

    • Support your team with issue resolution as a neutral party, both as a voice for the supplier, as well as a voice for Toyota, when supplier disputes arise.
  • Working closely with functional leaders to lead your team in planning and implementing multi-year category management and sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives. Data analysis and internal collaboration are critical to this process.

    • This includes leading your team through annual PSM (Procurement Strategy Meeting) and APR (Annual Price Reviews) in support of the IT categories.
    • Leading your team in developing strategies that consider OneToyota objectives, especially for shared suppliers and/or shared services/commodities.
  • Proactively develop and lead strategic initiatives to effectively manage costs, reduce risk and maximize value to internal departments across Toyota
  • Champion cross affiliate, and cross division, procurement initiatives leveraging Toyota's spend to drive reduced cost and increased value.
  • Develop and execute strategies for short, mid, and long-term cost efficiency and sourcing efficiency opportunities.
  • Manage contracts to ensure that commercial obligations are met and the process for renewal or replacement of existing agreements is proactively managed.
  • Supporting your Sourcing Team, Toyota Legal and IPSS Contracts with the development and execution of contractual documents including Non-Disclosure Agreements, Statement of Work, Master Services Agreements, SaaS, and other agreements as necessary to support Procurement and business needs.

    • Through the contract negotiation process, IPSS shall remain as lead for all pricing and sourcing related topics.
    • Also responsible for helping determine appropriate escalation of contracts when required due to business conditions.
  • Lead, mentor & develop your team of procurement analysts, including demonstrating category expertise and business acumen. Lead your team in the execution of sourcing strategies in alignment with established policies, procedures, and process standards

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain or similar.
  • Extensive IT strategic sourcing and procurement experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate multi-year strategies and build consensus with key user groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize numerous efforts and projects to ensure best possible outcome.
  • Strong analytic, organization, presentation and interpersonal skills with applied solid judgement and strategic thinking.
  • Strong collaboration, communication (written and verbal) and influencing skills.
  • Significant experience with sourcing/procurement principles and practices
  • Strong attention to detail

Added Bonus If You Have

  • Familiarity with SAP, Ariba, Peoplesoft and Coupa (or similar tools).
  • 3 years managerial experience.
  • Experience leading cross functional teams in support of both TMNA and TFS.
  • Experience developing sourcing strategies for IT commodities.
  • Experience in negotiating with major IT suppliers, such as Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, IBM, Adobe, etc.
  • Masters or graduate degree in business, finance or related field.
  • Automotive industry experience
