Product Manager, RCS Business Messaging

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in product management, consulting, co-founder or related technical role.
  • 4 years of experience in consumer-internet products or SaaS Business-to-Business (B2B) software.
  • 2 years of experience building and shipping technical products.
  • Experience in partnerships, collaborating with enterprises on creating technical solutions.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Ability to deliver and execute in a fast-paced software environment.
  • Excellent technical skills to effectively collaborate with an engineering team.
  • Excellent communications skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders at the Director/VP/C-suite level design trade-offs, help triage feature requests and bugs.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

In this role, you will help people and businesses connect on any device across messaging and voice through our Google Messages and Google Phone app. You will support consumer mobile communications and connectivity apps, services, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Define the product goal and roadmap for Google Rich Business Messaging (RBM), innovating experiences for users and brands building out new functionality (e.g., payments, shopping carts, improvements to verification and spam protections, re-engagement features, conversation starters, AI-based customer service experiences).
  • Identify gaps in the current product offering, define and document requirements and deliver business impact through supporting new and expanded functionality.
  • Lead the team to scale RBM towards a Google scale business.
  • Define new industry standards and lead the mobile ecosystem (e.g., carriers, iOS, device makers, channel partners).
