As a member of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team, you will be working towards raising the bar on risk management for the firm. We achieve that by providing expertise, guidance, and best practices as well as implementing frameworks and risk programs to support the effective monitoring and management of risks. The Risk Manager will primarily be responsible for managing and executing on the company’s key risk programs, including spearheading initiatives to level up the ERM program, partnering with stakeholders across the company to develop, implement, and enhance risk management strategies, providing deep dive risk expertise, and executing on day-to-date risk management activities. The ideal candidate is collaborative, has a strong understanding of risk management principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive risk-awareness culture within the company. This role will report to the Sr. Manager, ERM and will have latitude to exercise independent judgment and initiative in building out the risk programs.
What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
- Implement and manage various ERM programs, monitor KRIs and escalate if outside of threshold, and support the identification, escalation, monitoring, and reporting of risks across the organization.
- Support the implementation and continued maintenance of the Enterprise Risk Assessment framework and methodology and ensure alignment to industry best practices. Execute the annual Enterprise Risk Assessment, preparing materials, working with key stakeholders, conducting workshops, supporting the documentation of outputs in Archer, and preparing reporting for risk governance and boards.
- Partner with the business to monitor emerging risks and integrate enterprise risk management frameworks and principles into business processes.
- Support fostering a risk aware culture, including educating the business and finding opportunities to integrate risk principles into the way we operate.
- Develop and maintain policy and documentation for ERM programs and relevant policies and procedures.
- Support the tracking and documentation of risks, controls and mitigating actions within the GRC system of record, Archer.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g., product leadership, Internal Audit, risk teams) to ensure appropriate levels of accountability, transparency, and alignment with the ERM framework
- Support the preparation of regular and ad-hoc risk reports for ERM governance, boards, and other relevant stakeholders
- Coordinate and execute key risk initiatives and cross functional risk projects as needed
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
- 6+ years experience in a risk management, compliance, or audit function
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related discipline)
- Experience with developing and implementing risk management frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000) and programs
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with business partners, superiors, and subordinates
- Strong organization, project and time management skills with ability to plan and prioritize workload; ability to multitask and meet deadlines with quality product
- Manage multiple work streams simultaneously while working effectively both as an individual and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Nice to haves:
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Knowledge and experience with RSA Archer a plus
- Experience/expertise with product risk frameworks
