The Senior Financial Analyst will focus mostly on revenue-side analysis including budgeting and forecasting, P&L analysis, and management reporting. This individual will also assist with the month-end close, general accounting responsibilities, and ad-hoc reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
- Identify, investigate, and explain variances to budget, forecast, and prior years
- Develop detailed, insightful, and actionable analyses to help management gain perspective and support decision-making
- Analyze production data from agency management systems to help build monthly revenue bridges
- Monitor producer compensation, and regularly conduct producer true-ups and production bonus calculations
- Assist accounting team with monthly close procedures to ensure proper accounting of revenue and producer compensation line items
- Develop new processes and tools to drive scalable analysis and insights
- Generate various ad hoc Excel analysis, extensive knowledge of pivot tables, and LOOKUP/SUMIF formulas as required

Education:
- 5+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, financial forecasting, or modeling
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field, or equivalent related work or military experience
- Advanced degrees or certifications in finance or accounting, are a plus
Experience:
- Advanced Excel skills are essential. Must have strong knowledge of pivot tables, XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and other formulas
- Experience with financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting required
- Understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition
- Insurance industry experience, is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of Oracle products (Fusion, EPBCS), is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of Sagitta AMS, is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of PowerBi, is a plus

The national average salary for this role is $90,000 to $100,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
