Description
GRS Global Controller Center Team is seeking a strategic leader to lead Liberty's Cross-Border enablement. In this role, the candidate will primarily be responsible for setting the strategic direction, financial oversight and governance for GRS Cross-Border services for North America (US, Canada & Bermuda), Legacy ARM, Latin America, and Europe ensuring tax and regulatory requirements are met. In addition, the selected candidate will independently manage a financial planning and analysis team in a deadline focused environment with ultimate responsibility for the accuracy of the work. This candidate also uses increasing insight to set strategic direction for the team in supporting emerging business issues by thorough, relevant planning, results reporting and analysis and complex ad hoc analysis.

If the selected candidate lives within 50 miles of a GRS office, the expectation is that the selected candidate come into the office two times/week. This policy is subject to change.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and oversight on all cross-border services & global transactions for GRS Globally - North America, Latin America, Legacy ARM, Latin America & Europe.
  • Proactively manages and engages in planning for new Cross Border services & global transactions with senior leadership.
  • Provide leadership in regular reviews of operations identifying areas of risk where cross boarder services may be occurring and are out of compliance. Recommend and influence the creation of remediation efforts.
  • Responsible and provides finance oversight and leadership for all Cross Broder initiatives and manage a team of managers responsible for these regions:
    • North America (US, Canada and Bermuda) and Legacy ARM
    • Latin America
    • Europe
  • Ensure that the team works with other Controller teams such as accounting teams in operationalizing (legal entity invoicing/chargebacks) transfer pricing strategies elected ensuring process is appropriately stood up and documentation of taxable base is maintained and audit ready.
  • Partner with CFOs and Finance Leadership to establish appropriate management allocations.
  • Provide leadership and oversight through a monitoring environment for future tax legislation and risk impacting GRS's sharing of capabilities globally.
  • Provide oversight on compliance with operational transfer pricing guidelines established by GRS MOPs and/or Corporate Tax.
  • Periodic reviews of the Tax Guidelines/ Governance Model with Corporate Tax and Big 4 partners to ensure that it is updated for changes to tax law or practice.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor`s degree (Finance or Accounting).
  • CPA or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of finance experience.
  • Must demonstrate ability to execute thoroughly in a fast-paced work environment, adapting quickly to changing conditions to achieve results.
  • Must possess the ability to collaborate with peers across the organization to gain support for ideas and execute projects that deliver value to customers.
  • Comfortable leading meetings, making strategic recommendations to senior management and giving presentations to increasingly large audiences.
  • Advanced understanding of Finance Tools and Analytical Methods.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working for a Big 4 Accounting Firm, or in the Insurance industry.
  • Extensive experience transfer pricing international tax
