Our Opportunity:
We are looking for a Software Engineer I at our facility in Boston, MA, to design, develop and implement large scale distributed systems with large volumes of data focusing on scalability, latency and fault tolerance.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop Systems / Component architectures and APIs for a growing platform.
- Ensure successful product delivery and operational excellence.
- Forecast and mitigate challenges effectively.
- Lead research and PoC initiatives for cloud native designs and implementation within public clouds, primarily AWS.
- Conduct design/code reviews while raising the bar for all of engineering.
- Debug critical hard to solve production issues across services and tech stack.
- Continuously measure and optimize the performance, effectiveness, and uptime of services.
- Build quality software with technical guidance to team.
- Local telecommuting permitted.

What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and 3 years of software engineering experience with Spring/Spring Boot Java Framework.
- Must have 2 years of experience in the following: Developing in a micro-service oriented environment; and
- Working within the Agile project management framework.
- Must have 1 year of experience in the following: API development or engineering at scale;
- Working with distributing SCM (GitHub a plus), DevOps, AWS or equivalent;
- Working across fully automated stacks in a CI/CD ecosystem;
- Lightweight middleware technologies, integration patterns, microservices;
- Working with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines;
- Building applications using AWS services or equivalent; and
- Building event Streams with No-SQL.
