The Senior Quality Analyst is a SME that aligns to the business strategy and IT-Quality Assurance. Provides guidelines for test processes, procedures, enforces policies and standards, manages knowledge capital, enables resource development and management, audits test activities and deliverables. The role will also be responsible for cross test phases and teams' knowledge management, create/govern testing processes and review of technical solutions/ tools to support the testing framework. This role will also be responsible for governance of the development of QA staff in alignment to test execution, automation, test planning and analysis of results to ensure they comply with specifications and IT standards. This role will ensure that standardized methods and procedures are used for efficient and prompt handling of all QA testing activities and automation opportunities. We have also made a major investment in test automation tools and licenses, which with the correct and additional staff will streamline the way QA tests today and automate our testing activities.

This team member will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop Testing strategy for various integrated applications serving business processes that support our member and provider correspondence.
  • Effectively align Testing tools with methodology for strategic planning for various program initiatives
  • Lead onshore and offshore teams in execution of testing plans, timely reporting of issues and risks with a strong emphasis on quality and scalability of applications in scope.
  • Participate in the execution of the gap skill set assessments to ensure the right resources with the right skill sets are executed in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Review functional specifications and assists in evaluating test automation approach profiling of manual test cases for automation test opportunities.
  • Ensure that escalated issues are handled appropriately. Provide timely and detailed status reports on a recurring basis.
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities simultaneously for self and direct reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Engineering with a strong focus on tools and techniques required to test modern Web and Cloud based applications.
  • Proven experience in Service Delivery Management and Client Facing experience, with experience in enterprise level information technology organizations from a Quality Assurance perspective.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess organizational proficiencies to multi-task with multiple initiatives simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment under limited supervision with excellent follow-through on detailed tasks.
  • Highly motivated, self-starting, and committed to achieving results and have a strong sense of ownership and follow-through to resolution.
  • Ability to understand technically complex issues and put in simple terms for different Lines of Business
  • Superior experience using Excel and PowerPoint to generate the process flow diagrams and/or technical process flows.
  • Ability to write medium to complex SQL queries required for identification of test data or validation of an application backend.
  • Understanding of different file formats used for representation of data like XML, JSON

Preferred skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Automated Test development using automation tools like Selenium, Rest Assured or any other automation framework.
  • Understanding of CICD/DevOps concepts
  • Ability to write code in any programming language like JAVA or Python
  • Experience with validation of Correspondence or documents/letters containing both static and dynamic content.
  • Understanding/experience of healthcare domain

Hiring Range:

  • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $91,900 - $132,770
  • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $80,900 - $120,360

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
