The Royal Caribbean Group's Celebrity Cruises brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Sales Training and Development Specialist on the Sales Team reporting to the Manager, Sales Learning and Development.

Position Summary:

The Training and Development Specialist reports directly to the Learning and Development Manager within the Celebrity Cruises Sales organization and serves as the primary designer and developer of curriculum content, training material, webinar content, training modules, etc. for various departments including Field Sales, Inside Sales, Travel Partners, and Future Cruise Vacations. This Training and Development Specialist works closely with the Regional Sales Trainers and other respective departments to fulfill the business requirements of the training materials being designed/developed.

The Training and Development Specialist must have strong presentation skills, with the ability to facilitate the content developed as needed. Experience in creating and formatting PowerPoint presentations with a creative eye for design and attention to detail is vital for this role. Experience with programs like Camtasia and Articulate 360 are required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are key.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop training curriculums, content, and guides for utilizing traditional and e-learning approaches for use in various learning environments.

  • Works under the direction of the Learning and Development Manager to develop content for our national webinars while assisting in the backend logistics and functions of running the webinar.

  • Execute multiple training design storyboards simultaneously across varying topics for all facets of the sales organization under the direction of the Learning and Development Manager.

  • Liaisons between the Learning and Development team and the Learning Platform designers to maintain strategic direction and vision for course development and training programs while enforcing course development standards.

  • Work with cross functional departments and external vendors to understand new products, programs, and policies that require the development of recurrent training modules.

  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Trainers and other key departments across the business to develop and review current and new training initiatives.

  • Conduct needs assessment for new requests, identify appropriate learning approaches and apply appropriate learning theories to properly execute the training and initiatives.

  • Travel Required: 25% travel - Position is Miami- based. Travel pertains to ship or industry events, conferences, seminars at sea, etc.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent training certifications such as Education, Instructional Design, etc.

  • Experience creating training content with PowerPoint, Camtasia, and Articulate 360 is vital for this role.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Programs, i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and related program software.

  • 2 years minimum Training, Teaching, or other associated experience required.

  • 2 years minimum experience content writing, and/or training development required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, grammar, proofing, and editing skills; and strong ability to convert information into easy-to-understand verbiage and processes.

  • Must be a dynamic speaker with proven ability to get participants excited about the topics being presented.

  • Must be self-directed and motivated while also fitting in with a team.

  • Solid organization and project management skills, with the ability to multi-task.

  • Computer knowledge and usage skills, with the aptitude to learn new technology.
