Senior Financial Analyst, Hardware R&D Finance

We are looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst for our Hardware R&D FP&A team, based out of our Santa Clara Office, focusing on the product development lifecycle to forecast and cost optimize datacenter boards and systems. You will play a key role in enhancing our financial planning and analysis processes through the effective utilization and optimization of systems and tools. Our organization's overarching responsibilities are to provide the highest caliber of relevant financial and business analysis that is both insightful and measurable, enabling effective decisions-making at all levels of the Company and improving our financial performance. What you'll be doing:

  • You will build and maintain a thorough understanding of NVIDIA's products and roadmap, help develop models to predict pre-production investment requirements, and create business metrics that are insightful and actionable to improve the Company's performance.
  • Establish dynamic reporting structures that cover budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Devise and implement meaningful metrics and reporting instruments to uncover valuable insights across different spend segments.
  • Create informative dashboards and reports to visually represent financial data and facilitate informed decision-making. Build and maintain Key Performance Indicators and provide ongoing maintenance, updates, and support for existing systems to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Apply strong data management skills to collect, organize, and analyze financial information effectively and oversee data management processes within FP&A systems to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data.
  • You will lead changes to processes and procedures to improve efficiency, forecast accuracy, and ability to identify business insight while staying informed of industry best practices and emerging technologies to drive innovation in financial systems.

What we need to see:

  • 5+ years of experience in finance, business, or analytics, within the global technology industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a business-related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and data & analysis tools (e.g., Excel, enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and data visualization tools).
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Proven experience in challenging status quo and assumptions with the ability to inspire change.
  • Knowledge/experience working with large datasets and database management using tools such as, Excel PowerPivot, PowerQuery, or SQL.
  • Experience with no-code/low-code data analytics & AI/ML platforms such as Alteryx and/or Dataiku.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner to both finance and non-finance partners.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Demonstration of high level analytical and financial modeling skills, with a proven track record of driving process and system improvements.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard SAP/BPC, and BI platforms.
  • A strong ownership ethic and intense focus on accuracy and accountability; take pride of work quality, strive for improvements; operate with strong team-work spirit.
  • Strong interest, background understanding of the Tech industry. Semiconductor background is a plus.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and deliver results in a dynamic growth company.

The base salary range is 96,000 USD - 195,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
